CT Sweet 16 Portrait Photographer | Jaida

I was so excited when Jaida’s mom reached out to me to capture sweet 16 portraits to celebrate her milestone birthday! Our adventure began at Harkness Memorial State Park, where we used the backdrop of it’s historic mansion and manicured gardens to capture portraits with an air of elegance and sophistication. Dressed in a pink gown that exuded grace and charm, Jaida inner beauty and grace shone through despite the chilly December temperatures.

But our journey didn't end there - we ventured into downtown New London, which was meaningful to her as a New London native. The vibrant downtown energy and was the perfect counter to Harkness’ serene vibe. Jaida's transformation was nothing short of remarkable as she traded her pink gown for a black top, leather jacket, tulle skirt, sunglasses and a bouquet of giant black balloons, embodying confidence and empowerment with every step. Against the downtown backdrop, Jaida's bold personality shone through, proving that empowerment comes in many forms, whether it's through a pink princess dress or an edgy black ensemble. Cheers to Jaida on her 16th birthday!
