A Special Homecoming: A Military Family Reunited
This beautiful family booked one of my Fall mini sessions, and just a few days before the session, mom reached out to me with a special request —Dad had just returned home from deployment and she wanted to include him in the session. Capturing their love and connection during this session was an honor, knowing they had spent so much time apart. Watching them laugh, embrace, and simply enjoy being together again reminded me of why I love what I do.

We chose the Connecticut College Arboretum as it is always beautiful, and it did not disappoint! Nestled in New London, CT, this scenic location offers a mix of woodlands, meadows, and a huge variety of botanical life—making it a dream spot for fall photography. The golden hues of autumn framed the family beautifully, adding a warm and timeless feel to their portraits. The Arboretum is actually my favorite place, as I have been going there since I was a child and know it like the back of my hand!
