CT Family Photographer | Summer Family Portrait Session at Harkness Park

What can I say about this sweet family, aside from they are one of my favorites?

I’ve been photographing them for a few years now, as they booked Baby’s First Year Plans with me for their son and daughter. For Soleil’s first birthday last summer, we decided to use the last session that was included in her baby plan for a family session (that included lots of milestone shots of her) at Harkness Memorial State Park.

Summer evenings at Harkness are absolutely magical. The sun setting on the beautifully manicured gardens never ceases to take my breath away. For this reason, and so many more, Harkness is one of my go-to locations for portrait sessions - I shoot there multiple nights a week during the warm season!

At the very end of the session, we gave Soleil the chance to dig in to a cake to celebrate her turning one - as it turns out, she wasn’t super interested in the cake, but we still got a couple of adorable shots of her with it!
